I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff Cook when we traveled to Ft. Payne Alabama awhile back and after visiting with him and talking about what an inspiration he had on me..I left having more respect for the man than I ever did before... You see back when Alabama first hit the scene, Some folks may not realize it but Jeff played lead guitar, piano and fiddle...That is a lot of talent for one guy when you are talking about being the only lead player in a 4 piece band..Not to take anything away from the others but Jeff is an amazing artist in his own right with a wonderful sense of humor and an all around great guy who has never lost sight of the folks who helped him get to where he is today...

First of all I want to thank you all for your kind words. messages and texts to let me know you were thinking of me today...as you know it has been 2 years today since my Mom passed away...I'm not going to say it gets easier but there is a comfort in knowing she is in a much better place...Mom was a huge influence and supporter of my music and I am just grateful that I had her all those years and held on to the things she taught me...She was one of a kind and I will always cherish the memories...God bless you all...

God created every creature, including human, with a definite purpose. In a sense, every life is as significant any other life. Consequently, everyone of us is destined to play the unique role scripted individually for us by the creator. The play is always through as at the present time, but the oncoming scenarios are yet to be played, and they are never revealed in advance ...it's shrouded in suspense. Life, and its mysterious state of affairs keep going along with the passage of time.

I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that if a person were to fly coast to coast..from sea to shining sea..looking down on the masses who are gathered to celebrate their freedoms tonight there would be a sense of pride and respect for our flag as well as our fellow man and that for one night we can put our differences aside and join hand in hand and reflect on those who gave their precious lives for that freedom. No matter the color of our skin..the blood that was and is still being shed is still the same color.....as a Nation we must strive to meet our fellow man half way if there is going to be any hope for our children and grandchildren....for united we stand..divided we fall...God bless those who gave all as well as those who are still serving that we might enjoy this time and God Bless America....
